- FiveThirtyEight aggregates polls and uses statistical analysis to tell stories about elections, sports, economics, etc

- NYC Council Committee Reports. Put this in Google to search for recent NYC Council committee reports (which include stats, history and timeline on a policy issue, and hearing testimony:
- site:legistar.council.nyc.gov “committee report”
- and then use Google results “search tools” to sort by date
USA Data
- Data.gov searchable federal open data portal, note that you can source by date of latest release
- TracFed (J-School Resource) Federal data clearinghouse, areas covered include criminal enforcement, civil actions, administrative enforcement by the IRS, federal staffing, federal expenditures, immigration and more. See their latest reports at What’s New

- Sunlight Foundation open data tools to make local, state, federal and international government more transparent
